What should a battle-worn 11-foot tall drider do when she's retiring from the Ember Guard and looking for a big change? Open a cafe, of course! Unfortunately, Gwen's skills are highly specialized—she can contain a magical anomaly to protect the innocent without blinking, but taking inventory and tracking profits makes her sweat bullets. It’s not long before she wonders if patrolling the streets of Embervein wasn’t a safer bet.

Help comes in the form of the city’s finest—a tireless minotaur raising two kids alone, a teenage dryad with trust issues, and Gwen’s old partner in the Guard who can’t tell a coffee machine from a milk steamer. Is this unlikely group of friends really enough to save Gwen from certain failure?

Find out what it means to put it all on the line in Coffee, Milk & Spider Silk, a modern cozy fantasy.

This listing is for a digital eBook version of CMSS. After purchasing, you'll receive an .epub and a PDF file to read on the device of your choosing. This is pretty epic for two reasons: one, purchasing this way gives me more royalties than if you paid the exact same price via a retailer like Kindle or Kobo; and two, you will own this book for life. It's not like Amazon where you can only read it on Kindle or they can take it away if they so choose. The files will be yours. Enjoy!

Cute little story about a drider starting a coffee shop!

Cute book that I enjoyed reading. The pace and plot were spot on, and the characters were fun. I like how the author uses "monsters" to populate cozy fantasy, instead of all being sweet hobbittses and whatnot.

I had a lot of fun reading this story and I loved how the characters were presented. The story was so interesting, I couldn't out it down :)

Really enjoyed my time reading this, and have recommended it to several friends who have all said the same - really excited to see more from you!
